‘Idiot’s guide’ proposed for supply teachers

Despite the UK being the sixth richest country in the world the challenges in education are so dire that Sir Michael Wilshaw, former Ofsted chief, has proposed that we implement a twist on a “school-in-a-box”. School-in-a-box was developed by Unicef to provide basic classroom supplies in areas affected by disaster.

Due to the massive staff shortages Sir Michael proposed idiots guides to lessons. Supply teachers would be presented with a box on arrival. “‘This is the lesson plan, these are the resources.’ Call it an idiot’s guide…‘You can’t go wrong, this is how you do it, and by the way, I’ll come and check that you’re doing it like this.’”
